I am a breast cancer survivor and carrier of a BRCA mutation. Shortly after my diagnosis, I had a bilateral mastectomy with reconstruction followed by sixteen rounds of chemotherapy. After my personal experience with breast cancer, I feel very passionately about helping other ladies navigate through their breast cancer treatments and adjust to their new normal afterwards. I enjoy facilitating our monthly “Under 50” Girls meetings where we provide a very comfortable, supportive, and uplifting space to discuss all things related to cancer treatment (ranging anywhere from emotional support to helpful tips to manage side effects of chemotherapy). As Assistant Director of Driven by Heart, I work very closely with Sherry Palmer, assisting with administrative tasks, managing social media, event planning and coordination, and volunteer outreach. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family hiking, traveling, and enjoying nature. Additionally, I have a Master’s degree in biology and conservation genetics from the University of Central Florida.
