Good morning! SInce we are all pretty much at home I thought now was a good time to get into the habit of blogging fairly regularly!…..so here we go….a curious thing….I believe there are many things that hang around for years after you are finished with chemo….probably not noted by Docs…probably because we stopped mentioning all of these things not too long after finishing chemo…..but….two days ago I tried yet another new deoderant….all natural etc…it seems for me personally they all quit working after a couple of days..so I rotate several..every so often one of them leaves me with big red tender areas under my arm…..pretty frustrating. I know every ingredient doesn’t work for everyone but pre Chemo I never had any issues with deoderant….now it has been 11 years (in 11 days) that I have been done with Chemo. Just one of the issues that hangs around….how about you all? Anything to report that you didn’t have before?

Is it a possibility that you are allergic to one of the ingredients?
Just looking from a different prospective, since I’m allergic to a lot of food.
You know Anne, could be….just seems weird I never had any issue at all with any kind of deoderant before. Seems like chemo came with a lot of hiccups but….at least we are here to talk about it!! Grateful for that and grateful we have so many gals that weigh in on things going on …makes it easier for the new gals and good company for the rest of us!
1- I live by lists now. I have an undereractive thyroid which causes memory problems so blame it, chemo brain and my senior years.
2-I have continued nerve pain on my left side where my cancer was. I had a double mastectomy 8 years ago. It hurts to wear a bra or clothing touching that area. I tried message, exercise, etc. I asked my family Dr about surgery to kill the nerve endings. She gave me a prescription for Lyrica and it has changed my life. I no longer live in pain daily. If you have this pain talk to your Dr.
Good suggestions Betty!!! Thank you for sharing with us. I am so excited that people are commenting on our blog!!
